He's won 29 trophies... but this was also Lionel Messi's first
Lionel Messi has reached his 29th title with FC Barcelona. And this Spanish Super Cup is a little bit special for him. This is the first time that Messi has been in charge of lifting the trophy. With the first captain, Andres Iniesta, out injured, Messi took over as second in line.
When the game ended Angel Maria Villar, president of the RFEF, presented Messi with the trophy on a podium. Confetti blasted and the Argentine raised it into the sky.
