MSN out to haunt Guardiola again

Not even Pep Guardiola can speak with authority when it comes to stopping Barcelona's MSN trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar. As the Manchester City boss returns home to the Camp Nou with his Sky Blue charges, he'll come up against arguably the most-formidable attack in world football, and one that has already dealt a beating to the Spanish tactician. On his only trip back to Catalunya since departing the club, Guardiola tamed the triumvirate for 77 minutes of 2015's Champions League semi-final, only for Messi to launch a devastating late assault on his Bayern Munich defence, scoring twice along with an assist to earn a 3-0 win.

So far in 2016/17, the MSN have bagged a not inconsiderable total of 23 goals, six more than at this stage in both their other seasons together, although Uruguayan Suarez missed the early weeks of his first campaign due to a FIFA ban.Contrastingly, City have only been able to provide two points from their last three games, with Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne going cold ahead of their toughest challenge yet.The battle will be won and lost in several places on Wednesday night, but a weak Citizens defence combined with a lethal MSN could only mean trouble for one of the Camp Nou's favourite sons, Guardiola.
